Teacher Candidate Resources Welcome to either 16 or 15-week program
to complete your learning experience in the classroom. You may
feel apprehension, uncertainty and panic. Even experienced teachers, such as
I, have felt that way too! Please keep in mind, YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. I designed this webpage and GCU has the
Teaching in Purple Survival Guide to pass on knowledge and passion for
the profession of teaching. Please
utilize the links above and resources below to help you with your assignments
and student instruction. You will research, analyze, and
implement your previous classroom experiences with your students. In
addition, participation in the Load Cloud Discussion Forum will be a powerful
way to chat with fellow student teachers and gain perspective on the student
teaching process. As a faculty supervisor or class facilitator, I hope
to guide you and monitor your experiences through regular
observation visits, serve as a resource and evaluate your assignments. Between your teaching responsibilities,
your online class and scheduling with the faculty supervisor you will have
the most demanding semester ever. I'm looking forward to our time together
and hope your student teaching experience is amazing! If you have any questions, please don’t
hesitate to contact me on any day or anytime. Cindy Barnes,

Keep
checking back as I will add more links. Also, if you find great links please
share so I can add to this page.
Again,
if you have any questions, I am only a click away!! I cannot emphasize enough
to continually send emails to your faculty supervisor on participation outside
the classroom (i.e., teacher meetings, student organizations or even attend
sporting events). Please let them know so they can include on your evaluations.
Your community and campus connections will be essential on your evaluations.
